Dreamzs

There was this guy, always active, always burning with lots of energy. He used to be my greatest competitor in school days, though he was a year senior to me. He was good. He had experience of many other things apart from school books, which included right from cultivation to repairing a truck. But life was always little harsher with him. At class 9 he was diagnosed with cancer and he was given only six month to survive. That started a different kind of life for him. He started drinking, smoking in that small age and dropped one year. His parents took him to the top medical institutes only to find that the diagnosis was not accurate and he did not have any cancer. So he came to our class. I met him while at class XI. We did everything together. Apart from him there were 3 more guys and we were a gang. We were used to be called Panch Pandav. After XII I went for engineering, he tried Medical and became a Veterinary Doctor, to his own choice. The others too drifted one went to Delhi, one to Pune and only one was left there. I will talk about the others some other day. He completed his graduation and then joined a top Rural Management Institute to do his PG. He completed that and joined a NGO in Goa. He was happy woking there, enjoying life. Then another tragedy strucked. His father expired. And being the eldest son he had go back and took up his fathers business and support the family. We had started a NGO while at school with big dreams like changing the society(Part of the big dreams we used to have while growing up). He took the mantel of the NGO after going back. But the other members were not happy about it as others thought he must be having vested interest. So finally it was divided into two NGOs. Whenever we used to talk we used to talk about white revolution of Gujrat, about Amul, how it transformed Gujrat. We too dreamt of a venture like that. I dreamt from far away but he dreamt from within the system. He raised his ideas in the different NGO meets and as with the mindset of our people every time he proposed it, it was turned down. I kept on pushing him. Day after yesterday I go a call from him. He is coming to Pune to visit the Alpha Level the company which supplies dairy plant equipment. He is going to open his own dairy farm. Thousand applauses to him. And wish him all the luck...

Home.....

So finally I am going home. I did my tickets in Jet airways, and its so much costly that I think in that much cost I could have made a trip to Singapore. But I am not compalining I am going home again. Why homes are so special??Whenever I reach Borjhar I feel such a kind of nostalgia..It feels so fresh, so warm, so green. Leaving the crowd of Pune and Mumbai it seems as if I have come to some resort. A vast resort, sparkling with freshness and richness. When at home I will have to reach home before 9 oclock every night, there will be no smoking .....Lets see how it goes
Whose song was it-- West Virgina, Mumma I am coming home????
